All Seasons Floral Preservation

Pressed floral art for all of life's seasons

About Us

All Seasons Floral Preservation was created by Theresa Hambleton and Mary Beth Lopresti, two sisters who, for the last 25 years, lived over 2300 miles apart. In 2004, Theresa and her husband decided to return to the east coast with their children to live among family. Her parents, seven siblings, and 23 nieces and nephews had been enjoying too many of life's celebrations over the years without them.

While living Arizona, Theresa Hambleton trained and worked as a botanical field technician. For nine years she collected native plants of the southwest, and she currently has over 1000 specimens in herbariums throughout the United States. This was a spectacular, yet sometimes grueling occupation---rare plants tend to grow away from well traveled paths!  The botanical work certainly satisfied her passion for plants and flowers. It did not, however, make use of her talents as an artist. For this she learned to bead fine jewelry and spent 25 years creating intricate, unique art for women. Like her floral art, each piece was custom designed and created with great attention to detail.

Theresa was determined to find a way to bring together her skill of preserving plants, appreciation of the beauty of flowers, and artistic talent. She proposed to her sister, Mary Beth Lopresti, that they combine their abilities and create All Seasons Floral Preservation. With her youngest child entering school, Mary Beth felt that the timing was perfect for this opportunity.

Mary Beth began her career working as a nurse recruiter for TravCorps, the industry’s first and largest traveling nurse placement agency. During her 10 years there she learned that the key to success is outstanding customer service. Referrals from satisfied customers are the best way to build any business, and that was something she experienced first hand at TravCorps.  With most of her clients calling from throughout the country, Mary Beth developed the ability to listen carefully to their needs and desires. As enjoyable as it is meeting her “local” clients in the Northern Virginia area to select their designs, she is confident that by using the photos on the website, email, and the phone that our “long distance” clients feel the same satisfaction with their service and finished product.

Creating All Seasons Floral Preservation has been an amazing experience for them, both professionally and personally. It has allowed them the opportunity to use their talents to help others enjoy, forever, the flowers from life’s special celebrations. And, the way they see it, what could be better than doing what you love with your sister?
