At All Seasons Floral Preservation, the possibilities are endless when creating pressed floral art.  The flowers can be sentimental---from a wedding,  anniversary, memorial service, or from any of life's special occasions.  Keeping in mind that flowers need not be sentimental to be beautiful, art can be created using a favorite flower to match the decor of your home or office.   While visiting our gallery, you will see a sampling of the many works of art that our clients enjoy each and every day.          

          The freshest flowers make the most beautiful floral art, so when the special event is over, simply have your flowers shipped to us and we will immediately begin the pressing process. We also welcome you to hand deliver the flowers to either our Sterling, or Charlottesville, Virginia location. 

           We offer a wide array of mat colors and frames to enhance your floral design. Floral art is available in oval or rectangular frames, in sizes 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, or 20x24.  The price of your floral art is based on the frame size and design of the completed artwork.  

          It is our pleasure to consult with each client when making the design selections.   This consultation can occur over the phone or at our Sterling, Virginia location.  While some may have a very specific idea of how they would like their floral art designed, many clients leave the decisions to our floral artist.  Your unique work of art can be created with your vision, or ours.  To discuss your flowers and design options, please contact us.

Weddings:  You may choose to have us recreate your bridal bouquet to look as it did when you exchanged your vows. Many brides include their wedding invitation, a portrait, or a program from their ceremony.  In addition to the bride's bouquet, we often press the groom's, attendant's, and parent's flowers to include in your artwork, or to create additional pieces for gifts.  It is our pleasure to consult with each bride when making the design selections. We know things are very hectic leading up to your special day. If you prefer, the selection of your design can wait until after the wedding. Home & Office Decor:  Floral art is the perfect way to incorporate the beauty of pressed flowers into your home's decor. With a swatch of fabric and/or some paint chips we can create the perfect accent for any room in your home.  As with all of our artwork, you will choose the frame, mat and design---or simply give us the color scheme and we will take it from there.  We can use flowers that you provide, or you may choose from our supply of pressed flowers. If you are a gardener, simply provide us with some cuttings of your favorite flowers and we will transform them into a lasting piece of art that you will enjoy after the first frost and for years to come.  Visit our gallery to see a sampling of the many works of art that we have already created.

Pressing Process:  In order to properly press your flowers, we take each flower apart--petal by petal--and press them individually to best preserve their color and form. Once your flowers have dried completely (about 2 weeks), we then use the individual petals to "rebuild" each flower. We believe that this detail oriented, creative approach to transforming your flowers into art is what our clients appreciate and deserve. During the pressing process it is natural for the colors of the flowers to change somewhat. Generally speaking, flowers with an "intense" color will press darker---red roses will become a deep burgundy; while flowers with a "softer" color will become lighter---pale pink and white flowers will become a cream color. During your design consultation, we will discuss your specific flowers and how they will look once they are pressed.

Archival Quality Framing:  Your custom floral artwork is created using only acid-free/lignin-free papers and foam board. Each archival quality piece is framed using Conservation Clear® glass, blocking 98% of harmful UV rays. To further preserve your heirloom, the airtight environment created within the frame contains moisture absorbing desiccants. We go to great lengths to minimize the effects of light on your pressed flowers, however, over time color changes are normal and should be expected.
